Welcome to my professional portfolio. I am an early-career Human Resources professional and a June 2026 graduate of the Business Management (Human Resource Management) diploma program at College of the North Atlantic.

The About Me section shares the values, interests, and experiences that led me to pursue a career in Human Resources.
I’m originally from Texas and graduated in June 2026 with a three-year diploma in Business Management (Human Resource Management) from College of the North Atlantic. I began my studies in Newfoundland and completed them part time while working in Houston, combining formal education with practical leadership and operations experience.
My interest in HR grew from working directly with frontline teams. I saw how scheduling, workplace policies, and everyday management decisions could shape an employee’s experience. That led me toward a career focused on creating clear, fair, and dependable workplace processes.
During my HR internship with Lone Star Maritime, I supported onboarding and offboarding, employee documentation, compliance training, and confidential records. I also bring several years of experience working in busy retail environments where communication, judgment, and accuracy matter.
Outside of work, I enjoy community involvement, traveling, and creative and technical projects. These interests continue to shape how I approach problem-solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Human Resources appeals to me because it combines structure, problem-solving, and the opportunity to support people through important moments at work. I value clear communication, fairness, and consistency, and I have seen how those qualities can improve both the employee experience and a team’s performance.
I’m dependable, approachable, and comfortable learning new systems. I enjoy bringing order to complex processes, making information easier to understand, and finding practical ways to improve how work gets done. Whether I’m supporting an employee or completing a detailed transaction, I focus on accuracy, respect, and follow-through.
This portfolio includes applied HR projects in harassment prevention, training design, workplace accommodations, labor relations, and policy development. Each example shows how I research an issue, organize information, and turn HR concepts into clear, practical work.
The next section highlights selected academic projects and the skills I used to complete them, including analysis, policy writing, communication, and problem-solving.
